Edgar Babayan about Lecce's interest: It would be interesting to play against Mkhitaryan

Transfermarket website reported about Italian Lecce’s interest in signing Armenia international and Hobro midfielder Edgar Babayan.

Babayan, 24, commented for NEWS.am Sport his possible move to Serie A.

“It’s the first time I hear that Lecce are interested. My contract with Hobro will expire in summer 2021. My thoughts are with this team, but I am interested in new challenges, of course. My agent is in contact with the foreign clubs.

Moving to Serie A is an excellent opportunity, and Italy has a strong championship. It would be interesting to play against Mkhitaryan,” he said.

Babayan scored one goal and made five assists in 19 appearances for Hobro this season. He was to score Armenia’s sole goal in the EURO qualifying match against Italy that ended 1-9.
