On the last day of the World Weightlifting Championships held in Thailand, representing Armenia in the +109 kg weight category, Gor Minasyan became the vice-champion, lifting 460 kg in the combined.
The vice-champion of Europe Ruben Aleksanyan ranked third lifting 437 kg (192 + 245).
Georgian representative Lasha Talakhadze set a world record of 220 kg.
