FC Shakhtar Donetsk of Ukraine defeated at home FC Karpaty of Lviv city, and by a score of 3-0, in the seventh-round matches in the current season of the Ukrainian Premier League.
Romanian manager Mircea Lucescu’s players scored all three goals in the first half of the game, and the third goal came by way of FC Shakhtar’s and the Armenian national football squad’s midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Thus Mkhitaryan scored his eleventh goal in the current season, and he heads the current top scorers’ list in the Ukrainian league.
To note, FC Shakhtar Donetsk has 21 points so far, and it leads the current standings of this season’s Ukrainian Premier League.
