Euro 2016: Strong Iceland withstands Portugal

The Portugal national football squad began their campaign at Euro 2016, which France is hosting, with a draw on Tuesday.

In the second game of the first round in Group F, Portugal played a 1-1 tie with Iceland, in a match where they had a huge advantage

Portugal’s goal came by way of Nani in the 32nd minute, and Birkir Bjarnason scored Iceland’s goal in the 50th minute.

In the first game of Group F hat was played earlier in the day, Hungary defeated Austria by a score of 2-0.

In Saturday’s second round in Group F, Portugal will face Austria, and Iceland will kick off against Hungary.
