Chess news involving Armenian representatives

YEREVAN. - GM Davit Petrosian, David Shahinyan and Suren Pogosyan (Armenia), together with Davit Lomsadze (Georgia), are leading with 2 points each after Round 2 at the Karen Asrian Memorial tournament being held in Jermuk, Armenia.

GM Krikor Sevag Mekhitarian (Brazil) tallied 2 points after Round 2 and, together with a group of other participants, he leads the open being held in Teplice, Czech Republic.

And GM Varuzhan Akobian (USA) tallied 4.5 points after the final Round 6 and captured 5th place, from among 84 participants, at the open that wrapped up in Las Vegas, Armchess.am informs.
