FC Ararat celebrates 80th “birthday”

FC Ararat Yerevan (Armenia) on Sunday marked the 80th year of its foundation, informed the club official website.

Established on May 10, 1935, the club was named “Spartak” and “Dinamo” in the first phase of its history, and in 1963, it was named “Ararat.”

Ararat is USSR champion (1973), USSR double Cup holder (1973, 1975), Armenia champion (1993), five-time Armenia Cup holder (1993, 1994, 1995, 1996/97, 2008), and Armenia Super Cup holder (2009).
