FC St. Pauli (Germany) and 1. FC Union Berlin (Germany) former defender Andreas Biermann, 33, has committed suicide, the German Bild magazine reported.
The German footballer was suffering from depression for many years.
In November 2009, Biermann had confessed that he wanted to commit suicide, but then he had begun to fight against depression.
In 2012, however, he had tried to commit suicide again.
