Barcelona manager Xavi has lashed out at Istvan Kovacs, the head referee of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal second leg against PSG.
The Romanian referee had sent off Barca's Uruguayan defender Ronald Araujo in the 29th minute, and awarded a penalty against Barcelona in the second half. And in the 56th minute, Xavi was red carded for strongly reacting to the decisions of the referees.
"It is unfortunate that our course in the Champions League ended due to the referee's mistake. The referee was really bad. I told him, he was a disaster. This is the reality," Xavi said, AS reported.
Barca lost 1-4 in this match and was eliminated from the Champions League. In the first leg played in Paris, however, Barcelona had won 3-2.
