Armenian coach parts ways with Russian football club

Fifty-one-year-old Poghos Galstyan, who was included in the coaching staff of the Russian First Division’s FC Khimki in Moscow Oblast (Region) one month ago, has left the club. 

Khimki extended its thanks to Galstyan and wished him success in his future endeavors, the club’s website informs. 

Galstyan was assistant coach at FC Kuban of Krasnodar between 2008 and 2009. Also, he worked at Nika Moscow and FC Luch-Energiya of Vladivostok.   

To note, Poghos Galstyan was also a former midfielder of Armenia’s national football squad. He played in one international match for the team in a home friendly against Malta on July 16, 1994.
