Armenia’s men’s national team will face China and the women will tackle Italy in Tuesday’s Round 7 of the 40th World Chess Olympiad, which is being held between August 28 and September 9, in Istanbul, Turkey.
The men from Armenia and China have faced each other eight times previously. Armenia won four times, China came out the winner two times, and two matches ended in a draw.
Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan have tallied 11 team scores after six rounds, but, in line with additional pointers, Russia is in first place, followed by Armenia and Azerbaijan respectively.
Armenia’s women, on the other hand, who defeated Argentina in Round 6, have 8 team scores and they share 18th-38th places, together with twenty-one teams.
The seventh round will get underway at 4pm, Armenia time.
