We expect gold medals from Armenian boxers Davit Hayrapetyan and Misha Aloyan, chief trainer of the Russian men’s boxing team Alexander Chernoivanov told NEWS.am Sport from London.

The two boxers of the Russian team, including Davit Hayrapetyan in the Men’s Light Fly 49 kg category and Misha Aloyan in the Men’s Fly 52 kg category have qualified for the semifinal of the 30th Olympic Games.

“We are satisfied with their performance. Both have performed excellent. They defeated very strong opponents and we still hope for better results. The next bout is scheduled for Saturday. Hayrapetyan will face Kaeo Pongprayoon from Thailand, while Aloyan will clash with Tugstsogt Nyambayar from Mongolia. We do expect gold from both,” the trainer said.
