London-2012 Armenian Olympians: Norayr Bakhtamyan

LONDON. – During the 30th Olympic Games in London shooter Norayr Bakhtamyan will be the first of the Armenian athletes to perform. NEWS.am Sport continues to present the 25 Armenian Olympians.

Norayr Bakhtamyan, Shooter.

He was born in Yerevan on November 1, 1970. He got involved in shooting in 1985. He is a multiple Champion of Armenia. Norayr ranked 4th during the 2004 Olympics. He won silver during the 2011 World Cup. He is married.

While still a child, Norayr liked to play with arms and he started training shooting at the age of 15. This is Norayr’s 3rd Olympics and he hopes to come back with a medal.

“I am seriously preparing for the Olympics. I am training 12 hours a day. Only a few days remain. I am in a good shape,” Norayr says.
