The Italian national football team, which are preparing for their next two 2014 World Cup qualifier matches, have suffered new losses.

S.S.C. Napoli winger Lorenzo Insigne and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti have sustained injuries during the Azzurri’s training session, Football Italia reports.

They have both had scans on hamstring injuries, with the pair of them both testing positive.

And earlier, A.C. Milan striker Mario Balotelli had suffered a knee injury.

Balotelli, Insigne, and Verratti are all doubts for Italy’s World Cup qualifier group matches against Denmark (Friday) and Armenia (October 15).

To note, after eight rounds in World Cup qualifiers in Group B, the Azzurri have already booked their spot at Brazil 2014, with 20 points, Bulgaria have 13 points, Denmark have 12 points, Armenia and the Czech Republic have 9 points, apiece, and Malta have 3 points.
