Hovhannisyan and Babayan to play in Asian Champions League

TASHKENT. – Armenian youth national football team, capital city Yerevan’s FC Pyunik, and Greece’s Olympiacos F.C former midfielder Zhora Hovhannisyan is included in the roster of Uzbekistan’s FC Pakhtakor Tashkent, for the 2013 season of the Asian Champions League.    

The Pakhtakor roster includes thirty players and, aside from Hovhannisyan, Aram Babayan likewise is included in it. Hovhannisyan will wear the No. 10 jersey, whereas Babayan will enter the pitch wearing No. 17. 

FC Pakhtakor Tashkent will play its first game in the Asian Champions League on February 26, the club’s official website reports.  

As NEWS.am Sport informed earlier, in the previous season of the Uzbek football league, Zhora Hovhannisyan, who at the time was playing for Lokomotiv Tashkent, was announced the 2012 foreign player of the year.
