Aleksandr Grigoryan takes helm at Russian Premier League club

FC SKA-Khabarovsk (Russia) head coach Aleksandr Grigoryan has been appointed manager of FC Anzhi Makhachkala, informed the latter’s website.

This is the first time that the 50-year old Armenian specialist will be heading a club that plays in the Russian Premier League, the top level of Russian professional football.

Grigoryan was at the helm of SKA-Khabarovsk, which play in the Russian Football National League—the second level of Russian professional football, ever since 2015.

To note, Armenia national squad midfielder Karlen Mkrtchyan plays his club football at Anzhi Makhachkala.
