Armenia national football squad captain and midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s injury, which he sustained in Wednesday’s friendly against the Czech Republic, is not serious, the sources informed NEWS.am Sport.
In the match that was played in the Czech town of Mladá Boleslav, the Manchester United (England) newcomer was subbed off in the 38th minute due to an injury.
The Armenian national team coaching staff had made this decision for safety concerns, not wanting to take a risk.
Mkhitaryan will be in action in Armenia’s 2018 International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) World Cup qualifier opener against Denmark, Sunday, in the Danish capital city of Copenhagen.
