Paris Grand Chess Tour: Armenia’s Aronian places 4th

Grandmaster (GM) Levon Aronian, who plays first board for the three-time World Chess Olympiad champions and the former World Team Chess champions Armenia, took fourth place after the rapid and blitz tournaments in the Grand Chess Tour first leg, which wrapped up in Paris.

GM Hikaru Nakamura (USA) became the winner of this tournament while the reining World Chess champion, GM Magnus Carlsen (Norway), placed second.

The next legs of the Grand Chess Tour will be played in Brussels, from June 15 to 21; in St. Louis (USA), in August; and in London, in December.
