Germany national football squad and FC Bayern Munich defender Jérôme Boateng expressed a view that his club’s “downfall” began with their German DFB-Pokal semifinal loss against Borussia Dortmund.
Subsequently, Bayern suffered three consecutive defeats in the German Bundesliga and dropped out of the Champions League race.
“We lost our winning course,” Kicker magazine quoted Boateng as saying. “The fall continues until now.”
