FIFA: Armenia advance 2 places

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) on Thursday issued its new World Ranking.

Accordingly, the Armenian national squad have risen two spots and are 77th in the new standings.

To note, the squad’s former 30th ranking was record-breaking for the country.

But there is a change in the top three, as Belgium leapfrogged Colombia to third spot. 2014 FIFA World Cup champions Germany, on the other hand, continue to top the FIFA World Ranking, and they are still followed by World Cup runners-up Argentina.

Armenia’s Euro 2016 qualifier opponents Portugal, Denmark, Serbia and Albania are ranked 7th, 28th, 44th and 54th, respectively.
