France Football has recognized French international and FC Real Madrid (Spain) striker Karim Benzema as the 2014 France Football Player of the Year.
Juventus (Italy) midfielder Paul Pogba and Real Madrid defender Raphaël Varane came in second and third, respectively.
Benzema, 26, has scored eight goals in thirteen appearances for Real in the current season of the Spanish La Liga, and netted three goals for France in their five 2014 World Cup matches.
