French National Football Team’s general coach Laurent Blanc assigned goal keeper Hugo Lloris as the captain of France’s Euro-2012 National Team.
Defenders Eric Abidal and Philippe Mexes were also nominated for the position.
During several months Blanc constantly changed captains and finally chose goal keeper Lloris, Le Figaro reports.
“That shows I am trusted. I’m not going to let my team or the general trainer down. Reporters often accuse me of not having personality, but they are wrong. I always first think about the team, then about myself,” Hugo Lloris told Le Figaro.
