Chess news involving Armenian players

YEREVAN. – Armenian WGM Evgeniya Doluhanova (Ukraine) tallied 6 points out of possible 9 points and won the second prize in the round-robin tournament that was held in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine.

The winner of this event was WIM Maria Fominykh (Russia), with 7 points.

Separately, 26 Armenian chess players will compete in the U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, and U18 European Youth Championships to be held from Wednesday till October 8 in Budva, Montenegro.

Blitz and rapid chess tournaments will be held at first and, subsequently, the classic championship will take place, Armchess reports.
