Ronaldo to leave Real because of Messi – Marca

Portuguese international football team captain and Spain’s FC Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Real at the end of the 2012/2013 season, Marca newspaper of Spain reports.
The 27-year-old football star is not happy with his salary at the Madrid club. He believes he is not treated in Real in the same way as Argentinean national squad and Spain’s FC Barcelona striker Lionel Messi is treated at Barça.

Pursuant to his new contract, the 25-year-old Argentine will receive an annual salary of €16 million at the Catalan club, thus becoming the second-highest-paid footballer in the world. And Real Madrid likewise is preparing a new contract with Ronaldo, and with better financial terms, but the Portuguese star’s future at Real is not too bright.

Ronaldo believes he has done a lot for Real, but the club has not reciprocated. In addition, the president of Real does not treat Ronaldo in the same way as the president of Barcelona treats the best football player of the world, Marca writes.
