Argentinean national football squad and Spain’s FC Barcelona striker Lionel Messi’s jersey was sold for 90,000 Croatian kunas (approx. €10,000) during a charity auction that was held in Croatia. The jersey of the 25-year-old Argentine was bought by Slaven Bilić, the former Croatian footballer who now manages Russian club FC Lokomotiv Moscow.

In addition, the jersey of Niko Kranjčar—a Croatian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Dynamo Kyiv of Ukraine and the Croatia national team—was sold for 50,000 kunas (approx. €6,650). This jersey was purchased by Igor Štimac, a retired Croatian football player and current manager of the Croatian national football team.

A total of 500,000 kunas (approx. €66,497) were collected from the charity event to help needy children, 24sata.hr reports.
