Argentinean midfielder Darío Conca deserted China’s Guangzhou Evergrande F.C., FOX Sports reports.
The player simply packed up his belongings and left leaving a note behind saying he will not return and no longer play for the Chinese club.
To note, Guangzhou Evergrande had purchased Conca from Brazil’s Fluminense Football Club for $19 million, and this became the most expensive transfer in the history of Chinese football.
