Armenian player wants to play in top FC team but refuses to play in Iran

After the Armenia-Lithuania friendly match (4-2) the head coach of the Armenian national team Vardan Minasyan said that the young midfielder of Yerevan Pyunik FC Kamo Hovhannisyan fully justified his expectations. A few days ago, Vardan Minasyan announced on the air that the young footballer will change his club soon. Kamo Hovhannisyan answered to several questions for NEWS.am. Sport readers.

Kamo, you play as a left midfielder. After Levon Hayrapetyan’s return will you find yourself on the right wing?

It is not so important for me in which position to play. The main thing is to bring benefits to the team.

What position would you like to play on the field?’

Throughout my career I have played almost on all positions. I’m not sure which of these is my favorite position, and what I like to play. In modern football you should be able to play from different positions. You should be a universal player, because you can change from a defender or midfielder, or on the contrary, in the forwards.

What are your greatest strengths?

Speed, hard work and dedication. I know that these qualities are the key to success.

Vardan Minasyan noted recently that you and David Manoyan are going to move to another club. Do you already have options?

I heard about this for the first time on air. It was a surprise for me. I do not know, where I can be moved to. At the moment I am a player of Pyunik and I think only about my team.

Is there such a championship, in which you would not like to play?

There is. Would not want to play in the Iranian championship. I think that I would not be able to live there.

Do you prefer to play in a top team, but go for the replacement or play in a lower class, but in the core team?

Of course, the most important thing is the playing experience. I would like to play all the time. Although, the ideal situation would be to play for a top club in the core team.
