English midfielder Cole Palmer netted four goals. Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson and English defender Alfie Gilchrist also scored for the home team.
After 31 games, Chelsea are ninth, with 47 points, in the current Premier League standings, and Everton (32 games) are sixteenth, with 27 points.
