Armenia’s multiple European champions Artur Aleksanyan, Malkhas Amoyan, rest of Team Armenia are welcome at Yerevan airport

Last night there was a championship mood at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan. Fans of the Armenian national Greco-Roman wrestling team came to welcome Artur Aleksanyan and Malkhas Amoyan, who became champions at the European championships being held in Bucharest, bronze medalist Manvel Khachatryan, and the rest of Team Armenia.
President of the Wrestling Federation of Armenia Robert Khachatryan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Karen Giloyan, representatives of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia, sports fans, parents, relatives, and friends had come to the airport to welcome the European champions and the bronze medalist.

The European champions, the bronze medalist, and the rest of Team Armenia were greeted with applause and laurels. 

Team Armenia won two gold medals and one bronze medal at the European Greco-Roman wrestling championship held from Monday to Wednesday in Bucharest, the capital of Romania.

Olympic champion Artur Aleksanyan became European champion for the seventh time in the 97kg category.
Malkhas Amoyan (77 kg) was declared European champion for the third time.

Team Armenia newcomer Manvel Khachatryan won the bronze medal in the 55kg category.

And Armenia finished third in the team standings of the European Greco-Roman wrestling championship.
