На проходящем в Гамбурге чемпионате мира по боксу представитель Армении Оганес Бачков (64 кг) в 1/8 финала победил Бегдаулета Ибрагимова из Казахстана со счетом 3:2.

Ранее другой представитель Армении Карен Тонаканян (60 кг) в 1/16 финала победил австралийца Хари Гарсайда со счетом 3:2.
