На проходящем в Харькове чемпионате Европы по боксу Армения завоевала одну золотую медаль. Титул чемпиона впервые завоевал Оганес Бачков.

В финале Оганес Бачков (64 кг) оказался сильнее англичанина Люка Макормака.
