В 7-м туре чемпионата США по шахматам Самуэль Севян белыми сыграл вничью с лучшим американским шахматистом Хикару Накамурой. Севян с 4-я очками делит 4-6 места. Набравшие по 5 очков Накамура и Рэй Робсон делят первое место.

Варужан Акопян белыми уступил Кайдену Троффу и с 2.5 очками делит 9-10 места.
