Акоп Мкртчян занял третье место в весе до 96 кг на чемпионате Европы по тяжелой атлетике в Москве.

В сумме двоеборья Акоп Мкртчян показал результат 372 кг. Другой представитель Армении Давид Оганесян получил ноль.
