Представитель Армении Геворг Гарибян (60 кг) в 1/16 финала потерпел поражение от узбека Эльмурата Тасмурадова со счетом 0։7.

Карапет Чалян (77 кг) в 1/16 финала оказался сильнее японца Шохеи Ябику - 4։2.
