Karen Khachanov scores first victory at Madrid Open
19:10 6 May, 2019Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov scored his first victory at the Madrid Open after winning Spanish tennis player Jaume Munar in three sets (6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 6-3) for 3 hours and 3 minutes.
In the second round, Karen Khachanov will face off against the winner of the match between Moldovan and Spanish tennis players Radu Albot and Fernando Verdasco.
The prize fund comprises 7.2 million euros, and the winner will be announced on May 12. The favorites, including Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, will start competing on May 7.
