Former FC Alashkert scores first goal as New York City FC member

Former member of Yerevan’s FC Alashkert, Brazilian forward Héber Araujo has scored his first goal as a member of MLS. In the subsequent round, New York City FC won D.C. United 2-0, and the 27-year-old footballer scored a goal and made a pass for a goal.

During the 2015-16 season, Héber scored 16 goals in 26 matches of the Armenian football championship, helping FC Alashkert become Armenia’s champion for the first time. Héber moved from Armenia to Croatia, joined HNK Rijeka and became the country’s champion and the best player.
