Benzema sets historical record
12:15 22 April, 2019Karim Benzema scored a hat-trick to maintain his excellent scoring streak as Real Madrid eased to a 3-0 victory against Athletic Bilbao.
Benzema is the first player in the entire 117-year history of Real Madrid, who scored the last eight goals of the team, MisterChip reported.
The French striker scored goals in clashes against SD Huesca (3-2), Valencia CF (1- 2), Eibar (2-1), CD Leganés (1-1) and Senglea Athletic FC (3-0).
Benzema came in second place in the list of top scorers in Copa del Rey with 21 goals. Real Madrid ranked third with 64 points. The leading Barcelona has 77 points.
