Messi sets new Barcelona record

Barcelona star Lionel Messi became the champion of the Catalan club in the number of victories. It was a 51st career hat-trick for Lionel Messi on Sunday as Barcelona thrashed Real Betis 4-1, Opta reported.

During the current season, Messi scored 29 goals and made 12 assists in 26 appearances.

Messi has been playing in Barcelona from 2004. The star scored 589 goals and made 238 assists in 674 Barcelona appearances.
