Europa League: Mkhitaryan “contribution” is doubtful
14:45 13 March, 2019Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s participation is yet uncertain for of their UEFA Europa League Round of 16 second leg against Rennes, reported the press service of the Gunners.
Arsenal have provided information on their currently-injured footballers. Accordingly, the captain of the Armenian national squad has a “mild back strain,” his condition is being assessed ahead of Rennes, and a respective decision will be made on Thursday.
The Arsenal vs. Rennes return leg will be played Thursday in England.
In the first-leg “clash” in France, the Gunners had lost 1-3.
To note, Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been called to the Armenian national team for their UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying round group phase starters against Bosnia and Herzegovina (March 23) and Finland (March 26).
