Champions League: Ajax eliminate Real, Tottenham “do away with” Dortmund

Ajax and Tottenham Hotspur have advanced to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League, whereas Real Madrid, the titleholders for the past three years, have been eliminated from the rest of this football competition.

Real lost at home to Ajax 1-4 in their Round of 16 second leg. But in the first leg that was played in the Netherlands, Los Blancos had won 2-1.

Tottenham, however, won their second leg in Germany, too, as they beat Borussia Dortmund 1-0. In their first leg that was played in England, the Spurs had scored three unanswered goals.
