AP: Lakers' LeBron James named male athlete of year

Los Angeles Lakers basketball player LeBron James named the best male athlete of the year by the Associated Press. 

For the third time, James has been selected as The Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year

As reported earlier, Serena Williams has won the AP female athlete of the year award.
