Barça manager: Not sure whether Messi will enter pitch against Tottenham
11:59 11 December, 2018FC Barcelona’s Argentine star forward Lionel might miss their last UEFA Champions League group-stage game against Tottenham Hotspur, Barça manager Ernesto Valverde announced.
“We weren’t playing badly when Messi was recovering from injury,” MARCA quoted the Spanish football specialist as saying. “Now he needs rest; that’s why I’m not sure that Leo will enter the pitch [in the match against Tottenham].”
Tuesday’s game in Barcelona will kick off at midnight Armenia time.
After five rounds, Barcelona have clinched first place in Group C, with 13 points, Tottenham and Inter have 7 points, apiece, whereas PSV Eindhoven are at the bottom, with a mere 1 point.
