Messi closing in on Pele's record

Barcelona star Lionel Messi hit double in clash against Betis, scoring his 566 goal in Barcelona, Barcelona FC press service reported.

A 31-year-old star ranked second on goals for Barcelona, after the legendary Brazilian player Pele, who scored 643 goals for the Brazilian Santos.

The Argentine has overtaken Gerd Müller as the player with the second most goals for a single club.
