Ancelotti: Ronaldo's only mistake was going to Juventus

Napoli's head coach Carlo Ancelotti believes that the Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo should not have moved to Juventus.

“I don’t think there was the will to adopt a totally Italian culture. Above all the desire was to bring a high-level culture: professionalism and quality. The arrival of Cristiano is excellent for the image of Serie A. For a long time it was the league of superstars: Maradona, Platini, Zico, Zidane, Ronaldo, Shevchenko, Kaka, Ibra…It’s been less the case in the past 10 years, the arrival of Cristiano will restore it. He’s an immense professional, his only mistake was going to Juve,” Besoccer reported quoting Ancelotti.

Ancelotti headed Juventus from 1999 to 2001.
