FFA head: It’s a shame that we lost to Gibraltar squad
14:21 16 October, 2018FFA President Artur Vanetsyan commented on unsuccessful performances of the Armenian national squad at UEFA Nations League.
“It is impossible to fix in 20 minutes something that was destroyed in 20 years. Yes, our team is not in the best condition right now, but we should wait,” Vanetsyan told reporters on Tuesday.
“It’s a shame that we lost to the Gibraltar squad. We need 4-5 years to achieve significant results,” he added.
Asked to comment on the conflict between Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Yura Movsisyan, he said there is no conflict between two Armenian football players.
As reported earlier, Gibraltar’s national team defeated Armenian squad, while during the first leg, the Macedonian squad defeated Armenians 2-0 and now tops the rankings with nine points.
National teams of Armenia, Liechtenstein and Gibraltar scored three points each.
