Mkhitaryan: First half was bit easier than second one

Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan commented on victory against Brentford.

“The most important thing was the win to go to the next round. The first half was a bit easier than the second one, but we were fighting, we were trying, we were working hard, and at the end we scored the third goal, so congratulations to us. We knew that they’re a tough opponent and playing very well so it didn’t mean that in the first half after we’d scored two goals that everything was going to be easy. We knew that in the second half they were going to do it more and more and more, but we were ready for it,” Arsenal press service reported quoting Mkhitaryan.

Mkhitaryan also commented on Smith Rowe being given the opportunity to start.

"I am very happy for him because he did a good game, and for the other players as well. Everyone showed that everyone is ready to play and it doesn’t matter what kind of game it’s going to be, Premier League, Carabao Cup, FA Cup or Europa league. Everyone is ready to play and to help Arsenal succeed,” the Armenian football player concluded.

As reported earlier, Arsenal defeated Brentford 3-1. Mkhitaryan was substituted on the 75th minute.
