Italian specialist Gianni De Biasi is close to becoming the new manager of the Armenian national football team.

The former head coach of the Albanian national squad is in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan where he is holding talks with the Football Federation of Armenia, AlpeSport of Albania reported.
Under De Biasi’s headship, Albania had qualified for Euro 2016.

In 2017, he was sacked by Alavés (Spain).

The 62-year-old manager is unemployed this year.

Previously, Gianni De Biasi had taken helm also at several Italian clubs as well as at Levante (Spain).

The position for the Armenian national football team manager is vacant ever since Vardan Minasyan resigned last week.
