Sanchez injury update ahead of Manchester United’s clash against Tottenham next week
18:43 20 August, 2018Alexis Sanchez remains a doubt for Manchester United’s clash with Tottenham although manager Jose Mourinho has played down the seriousness of the injury, The Sun reported.
The Chile international was absent from United’s forward line for the 3-2 shocker against Brighton after picking up a problem in training.
Reports of the issue started over the weekend with Sanchez not on the team’s plane ride down to the South Coast, before Mourinho confirmed matters prior to kick-off.
And then speaking to the club website after the Brighton game, he said: “I don’t know really. Let’s wait for the results of the studies, but I don’t think it’s a big thing. I think it will be one or two weeks maximum.”
