Real Madrid want to keep midfielder Luka Modrić in the club at any cost.

Los Blancos are ready to raise the salary of the 32-year-old captain of the Croatian national football squad, according to MARCA newspaper of Spain. At present, Modrić earns €8 million a year.

But Inter’s interest in signing the Croatia international is concrete.

The buy-out clause of the 2018 World Cup silver medalist is €750 million.

Modrić plays at Real Madrid since 2012, and his current contract with the team is expected to run until 2020.
Luka Modrić helped Croatia win a silver medal at the 2018 FIFA World Cup this summer in Russia. In addition, he became the Golden Ball—the best player award—winner of this top international football competition.
