Mourinho: Now people will watch Serie A for Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United manager José Mourinho has predicted that interest in the Spanish La Liga will drop because of Portugal star forward Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer from Real Madrid to Juventus.

“Now people will watch the Italian Serie A for Ronaldo,” Mundo Deportivo quoted the Portuguese football specialist as saying.

“They watch the English Premier League, since it’s the world’s best league, whereas [they watch] the Spanish La Liga—thanks to [Argentina star forward Lionel] Messi.”
