2018 World Cup: Argentina footballers demand squad manager’s resignation

The Argentine national squad footballers demand that team manager Jorge Sampaoli not take helm of the squad in their third match in the group stage at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, according to Todo Noticias.

They propose Sampaoli’s assistant to be appointed the team’s head coach for the aforementioned game, in which they will face Nigeria.

Argentina had played a 1-1 draw with Iceland in their group opener, but they were thrashed 0-3 by Croatia in their second match in the group phase of the 2018 World Cup.
